Key Stage 2 Inclusion Room Leader
Queen Boudica Primary School has an exciting opportunity to recruit a Key Stage 2 Inclusion Room Leader as from September 2026. This position is initially offered on a fixed term one-year basis, with the intention that it becomes permanent in the future.
Start date: 1.9.26.
End date: 31.8.27.
Employment type: Mornings 8.30am - 12.30pm and three afternoons 1.00 - 3.30pm
Pay range: HLTA scale - Scale 7 points 19 - 24 £20,017.56 - £22,109.78
Closing date: Sunday 7th June

In response to the changing dynamic of our school community, an opportunity has arisen to recruit a Key Stage 2 Inclusion Room Leader. The successful candidate will work under the line management of the SENCO and will be responsible for the planning of appropriately levelled learning activities. They will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.Experience of working in a SEND capacity, knowledge of the National Curriculum and experience of regulation strategies, restorative practice and trauma-perceptive approaches would be an advantage.
We are looking for an Inclusion Room Leader who:
· Is pupil centred and passionate about children and their learning
· Has a strong knowledge of a range of effective positive behaviour management strategies
· Has an understanding of the National Curriculum, and who can plan appropriate learning activities matched to pupils' needs
· Has experience of working with multi-agency partners
· Has a thorough understanding of various special educational needs and disabilities, including strategies for assessment, intervention, and different methods of instruction
· Is able to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.The ability to communicate effectively with individuals with diverse needs and learning styles is particularly important
· Is a strong advocate for students with SEND, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.This includes promoting inclusive practices and challenging any barriers to participation
· Has a strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures, as the Inclusion Hub Leader will often be working with vulnerable students
· Has a genuine passion for creating an inclusive environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported

Queen Boudica Primary School is a thriving and successful two-form entry primary school situated on the north side of Colchester. Since opening in 2009, the school has expanded twice and is now full with a capacity of 420 pupils.
