Post: SEN Learning Support Assistant
Hours: 32.5 hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 to 15:30 with 30 minutes lunch break
Term Time including inset days (38 weeks per year)
Contract: Fixed term. There are 3 fixed term vacancies each linked to a child with EHCP as follows:
1. Fixed term - 01/09/2026 to 31/08/2031
2. Fixed term - 01/09/2026 to 31/08/2029
3. Fixed term - 01/09/2026 to 31/08/2027
Salary: Scale 3. Pro Rata £19,045.30- £19,348.54 (FTE £25,988.90 - £26,402.70)

An opportunity has arisen to join our school community as a SEN Learning Support Assistant.

Candidates should have:
Good literacy and numeracy skills
Good organisational skills
Experience working with children with high levels of need
Ability to build effective working relationships with pupils and adults
Skills and expertise in understanding the needs of all pupils
Knowledge of how to help adapt and deliver support to meet individual needs
Subject and curriculum knowledge relevant to the role, and ability to apply this effectively in supporting teachers and pupils
Excellent verbal communication skills
Active listening skills
The ability to remain calm at all times
Knowledge of guidance and requirements around safeguarding children and a commitment to ongoing training in this area
Good ICT skills, particularly using ICT to support learning
Understanding of roles and responsibilities within the classroom and whole school structures.
