Philip Morant School and College was judged as "Good" in all areas by Ofsted in September 2023. We are looking for a Teacher of Technology who can be a key part in our ongoing improvement journey.

Our school is a calm and orderly place. We work hard to ensure everyone feels welcome. As the largest school in Colchester we have exceptional facilities. Through the Sigma Trust there are many opportunities to work with staff in other schools and to have opportunities for development.

The technology department has been recently refurbished with three food rooms, a new purpose built multi use room, four workshops and a computer room shared across the department. Computing is delivered in specialist rooms with access to software required for the delivery of the curriculum.

We offer KS4 qualifications in Graphic Design, Product Design, Engineering and Hospitality and Catering. At KS5 we offer A level Product Design.

We are looking for someone who can play a key part in achieving outstanding outcomes and progressing the subjects to delivery at key stage 5 as part of our Sigma Sixth provision.

Employee Benefits:

  • A competitive salary and excellent pension scheme
  • A Health Cash Plan to help manage your everyday healthcare costs
  • Access to a confidential Employee Assistance Programme to support your well-being
