We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant to support children's learning in all areas of the primary curriculum. Next year, it is likely you'll be working in our Y5/6 class, but there is flexibility to work in different areas of the school in future to build your skills across the primary age range. Your role will be to support two experienced teachers to ensure that children are safe, happy, engaged with their learning and making good progress. The role is full-time, 8.30 - 3.15 five days a week and term-time only.
We are looking for someone who has -
- an enthusiasm to engage with and support children's learning
- the ability to work as part of a team, adapting to different situations when necessary
- a sense of humour, patience and a willingness to help children overcome any barriers to their learning
- experience in supporting children with ASD is preferable but not essential, training can be provided
