PASTORAL LEADER
We are seeking to appoint a kind and caring Pastoral Leader to champion the emotional wellbeing of children in our school. The post holder would be the first line of communication for parents, staff and pupils concerning emotional wellbeing, attendance and concerns around behaviour.
We are looking for someone with empathy, understanding and a determination to provide the very best of support for our children.
The post is 32.5 hours per week, 8.30a.m to 3.30pm; term time only and will include some support of children during break and lunch times.
The successful applicant should preferably have:
Experience of working with children Good literacy, communication and numeracy skills
An understanding of children's development
Proven success of working with pupils with SEMH A commitment to meeting the needs of all pupils An ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
Elsenham C. of E. Primary is a very successful and growing school, situated in the village of Elsenham, close to the market town of Bishop's Stortford and Stansted airport.
The Governing Body is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment. The appointment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and medical checks.
