Lyons Hall Primary School is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to co-educate a small group of children within our rainbow provision with SEND and support our growing number of children with autism/ADHD.

You will need to work alongside the Class Teacher, SENCo and family to provide effective and nurturing support, guidance and enhance the personal, and academic, development of our pupils.

You will be required to carry out a personalised curriculum, necessary interventions and provide in class support.

The ideal candidate will:

have a good understanding of Safeguarding and Welfare.
be able to communicate effectively and build good relationships with children, families and colleagues.
have proven experience of supporting children with SEND in a mainstream setting.
be able to take direction from a range of stakeholders and be adaptable in your approach.
have a genuine passion for working with children with additional needs and the commitment that children are the centre of everything you do.
Be inclusive.
It would be beneficial to have some knowledge of TPP (Trauma Perceptive Practice).
