Required from September 2026, an enthusiastic and well-qualified, inspirational teacher of Citizenship to lead our highly successful Citizenship Department in delivering the citizenship curriculum, the active citizenship programme, RSHE across all key stages and including Law and Politics to Key Stage 5. The new Head of Department will lead a forward thinking, innovative department with a relentless focus on the quality of education and delivery of a broad, balanced and international curriculum that aspires to meet the needs of all students, ensuring outstanding outcomes.

Citizenship plays a pivotal role in promoting the aims and ethos of the school as well as embedding outstanding SMSC provision and Personal Development. Citizenship is taught as a discrete subject as well as through active and enrichment activities, developing Global Citizens who are open-minded and have an international perspective. Our GCSE Citizenship provision leads to progression to A Level Law and A Level and IB Politics and we are looking for a leader to grow and develop these popular and exciting curriculum areas.

The Anglo European School is a comprehensive school with an innovative curriculum, informed by a strong international dimension. All members of staff support the aims and ethos of the school and participate in the extensive visits and exchanges programme, providing exciting opportunities to travel and educate students beyond the classroom.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We encourage applicants from under-represented backgrounds. Anglo European School is committed to providing equal opportunities for all employees and increasing diversity in education.
