Job Title: Senior Science Technician
Contract Type: Permanent
Contract Term: Part time - 37 hours per week / 40 weeks per year (term time including inset days + 1 week holiday working)
Salary Range: Scale 5 Point 10 (points 10-13)
Actual salary £24,326 - £25,529 (FTE £27,694 - £29,064)

We are looking to appoint an organised and enthusiastic team leader with experience working across a range of science topics, supporting staff and students, to lead our team of technicians.
The department is split between two bases across the school, one of which is located in our recently built East Block, providing a clean, light and spacious working environment along with new equipment and storage facilities.
You must be flexible, able to work as part of the team and use your own initiative effectively. A thorough knowledge of safe handling of laboratory materials is essential.
The post requires excellent communication and standard ICT skills as well asa subject related qualification or equivalent gained through substantial relevant work experience.
Key Responsibilities
To lead and manage a team of technicians and provide comprehensive technician support service to staff and students undertaking the science curriculum.
To oversee the general running of the science teaching and preparation areas.
