Canonium Learning Trust, winner of TES Trust of the Year (9 schools or fewer) 2025, is currently searching for an exceptional individual to join our team at St Andrew's CE Primary Academy in Marks Tey.

As our school expands from 5 to 6 classes in response to growing pupil numbers, we are seeking a full-time teacher to join our team from September 2026. We provide a broad, rich and meaningful curriculum which develops children's academic, social, physical and emotional development, ensuring that every pupil is equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to succeed both in school and beyond.

The wellbeing of each child is at the centre of what we do, with relationships between pupils, staff, parents, governors and the wider community valued and nurtured to support an inclusive, safe and happy environment.

As a teacher in our school, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality learning experiences, inspiring and motivating pupils, and working in partnership with parents, the school and the community.

If you are interested in the position, please find enclosed the candidate information pack for more information. Visits to our school are strongly recommended and we would be delighted to show you around. Please contact the school office on 01206 210638 to make an appointment. This is a permanent vacancy which closes at midnight on the 12th May 2026 with interviews taking place on w/c 18th May 2026. The role will commence September 2026.

Information about the School

The school has a rich history of providing outstanding education to its students, and is committed to the values of the Church of England in everything it does.

Influenced by the Church of England's vision to educate for 'life in all its fullness' (John 10:10), our focus on wisdom prioritises the spiritual, physical, intellectual, emotional, moral and social development of our children. We aim to inspire wisdom with a golden thread of deep knowledge, critical thinking, strong communication and exciting learning opportunities running consistently throughout our curriculum.

Ultimately, we want our pupils to leave our academy as knowledgeable, thoughtful and articulate individuals, who are equipped with the cultural capital to thrive in our evolving world and society. By working together, we ensure our pupils are supported and challenge to nurture a keen mind, a willingness to question and the ability to make right choices, so that they are prepared for secondary school and beyond.

As a proud Church of England school, our vision and all that we do is underpinned by our core and Christian values:

Respect and reverence – we have regard for the feelings, wishes and rights of others Caring and compassion – we display kindness and concern for others Cooperation and service – we work together Perseverance and endurance – we keep going until we achieve success Honesty and virtue – we tell the truth Responsibility and trust – we are accountable for all our actions

Our staff team and I would be delighted to welcome you and look forward to sharing what makes our school unique.

Keith Birbeck, Headteacher
