Keys Co-operative Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a 0.2FTE knowledgeable, dynamic and committed Outreach Consultant SENCO on a 1 year FTC to work in partnership with the Outreach team covering Mid and North East Essex.

Please note - This position would only be forpart time staff to apply for as the position is 0.2FTE.

Please note - This position requires the post-holder to have the relevantSENCO Qualification.

The main duties/responsibilities are:

  • To work with the Operational Lead to complete pupil consultations and case review meetings
  • To work in schools as directed by the Operational Outreach Lead
  • To work directly with the Outreach team to develop understanding and knowledge of all aspects of SEN that may be required in their role
  • To provide direct support to engage secondary pupils who are at risk of permanent exclusion or other social or educational disadvantage
  • To develop, educate and support the Outreach team to deliver effective interventions and training helping them in their roles
  • Work with identified schools in order to reduce exclusions and improve engagement in education
  • Work in partnership with Outreach Leads, Intervention Workers and other agencies to support the effective day-to-day management of bespoke provision for identified pupils
  • Must have the relevant SENCO qualification

- a declaration that you are not disqualified from working with children by virtue of the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2018 or that you have provided a valid disqualification waiver from Ofsted

In line with recommended practice in the statutory guidance "Keeping Children Safe in Education", the school will conduct searches for information on shortlisted candidates which is publicly available on-line. The purpose is limited:

- to identify issues which call into question the applicant's suitability to work with children;
- to verify employment history.

Information about the School

Keys Co-operative Academy Trust are a small Academy Trust located in Essex. We currently have two Alternative Provision schools, serving Mid and North East Essex and a Special School in Brentwood. Our Trust is based on Co-operative values which guide and inform the ethos of all of our schools.
