1:1 Learning Support Assistant | TA in Early Years/KS1
Required May 2026
16 hours per week | Term time only (38 weeks) | Scale 2
Closing date: Midday, Monday 20th April 2026
Interview date: Thursday 23rd April 2026
We are seeking a friendly, empathetic and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work initially one to one with a child with ASD and providing classroom support. With a view to move on to class TA in Early Years or KS1.
We are looking for someone who ideally is:
- confident, calm and patient
- has experience of, and an understanding of, working one to one with children with
- additional needs
- has experience of, and an understanding of, children with autism and speech and language needs
- able to work as part of a team and liaise closely with Class Teachers, Senior Managers and Parents
- respectful and professional when dealing with a child who has intimate care needs.
Appropriate training will be given as required. This role could be suitable for somebody beginning their career in education.
Start date is ideally Monday 18th May 2026, dependent on availability of successful candidate and subject to satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks.
