Salary: Main Pay Scale (M1-M6, dependent on experience)

The Role
We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic class teacher who:
- Has high expectations for all children and a belief that every child can succeed
- Can create a positive, engaging and inclusive classroom environment
- Is passionate about delivering a creative and responsive curriculum
- Is confident in supporting a wide range of needs within the classroom, including children with additional needs
- Works well as part of a team and contributes to the wider life of the school
- Is reflective, motivated and committed to their own professional development
- You will play a key role in making a real difference to children's lives.
There is flexibility around year group placement, depending on experience and the needs of the school.
We would particularly welcome applicants with an interest or experience in PE, Geography or History leadership, although this is not essential.

You will:
- Be a qualified teacher (ECTs are very welcome to apply)
- Be committed to inclusive practice and supporting all pupils to thrive
- Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
- Be adaptable, resilient and able to respond to the needs of your class with care and consistency
- Be a team player with a good sense of humour - essential here!

A Day in the Life at Milwards
Life at Milwards is built on strong routines and clear expectations, which help our children feel safe, settled and ready to learn.
Within that structure, teachers are trusted to bring their own ideas and creativity into the classroom. You'll have the autonomy to shape your teaching, respond to your class and make learning engaging and meaningful.
Your day might include a mix of focused teaching, small group work, and adapting learning to meet individual needs. You'll work closely with experienced colleagues, sharing ideas and supporting one another as part of a collaborative team.
We work hard to ensure that staff feel supported in their role. This includes working closely with experienced colleagues, strong communication across the team, and a consistent approach to routines and behaviour. Staff are not expected to manage challenges alone - we work together to find the best outcomes for our children.
There are also opportunities for enrichment throughout the year, including trips and occasional outdoor learning experiences, adding variety and excitement to school life.
