Position Type: Attendance and Administrative Assistant
Hours: Mornings only, 08:30 - 12:30 (Term Time only)
Our school is currently seeking an attendance/administrative assistant to join our friendly school to work with pupils, parents, school staff and outside agencies to ensure the high attendance of pupils across the school.
The ideal candidate will ideally have
- experience of supporting families
- GCSE A-C/equivalent in English and Maths
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excell, Outlook essential
- Knowledge of schools MIS system (SIMS) desirable
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and a welcoming, positive outlook
- Excellent telephone manner with the ability to record and pass on accurate messages
- Be able to prioritise their own workload & plan effectively
- Be able to remain calm under pressure and have a positive and sunny disposition
You will be expected to
- Monitor whole school attendance, persistent absence and punctuality under the direction of the senior leadership team
- Contact parents when children are absent from school
- Identify children and families who need support with attendance
- Deliver support to children and families
- Maintain excellent records, track attendance and send attendance letters
- Book and organise attendance‑related meetings
- Attend regular attendance meetings with SLT
