We are delighted to offer this unique opportunity to lead on our internal SEN hub. Our SEN hub, known as Wayfinders, provides an opportunity for the children who access the hub to have their complex needs met through personalised provision and a curriculum written using the engagement model and development matters framework. Our children who access the provision have the opportunity to reintegrate into their mainstream classroom throughout the school day so they can thrive in both settings. Following principles that are established in special need schools, such as communication boards, Makaton, visuals and TEACCH workstations, we are proud of the extensive offer we provide for the children and the fantastic progress they make.

This truly is a unique opportunity to be part of a successful, supportive and collaborative academy that has a shared moral rooting, vision and values whilst maintaining school level autonomy and individuality.

As a UNICEF Rights Respecting School, we are looking for an ambitious, inspiring professional with the knowledge, skills, drive and creativity to nurture children with SEN so that each can flourish in their own unique way.

The successful candidate will:

Be proactive and have a positive attitude
Be committed to helping every learner flourish
Be committed to our values of being altruistic, pioneering and ethical
Be confident, calm, dedicated and flexible
Be able to build highly effective relationships
Be a team player
Demonstrate a love of learning
Have a strong track record of teaching and supporting child development
