Administration Assistant with Midday Assistant hours
Hours of work: 8.15am - 3.30pm on Mondays and 8.15am - 1.00pm on Tuesdays
(term time only plus inset days)
Salary: Scale 4 - point 8-9 (£26,824 - £27,254 fte) Administration Assistant hours
Scale 2 - point 4-5 (£25,185 - £25,583 fte) Midday Assistant hours
Job Description
We are seeking a helpful, organised and dedicated person to join the Office Team two days a week. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, supporting staff and helping to keep a busy school office running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities include:
· To answer phone calls and deal with face-to-face enquiries
· Managing the general welfare of pupils
· To be the point of contact to administer first aid to pupils
· To maintain accurate and up to date medical and allergens records online for all pupils, and ensure all stakeholders are informed
· To record school meals daily on the schools Management Information System
· To use ICT to communicate with parents, as well as face to face communication, over the phone or through emails and letters
· Ensure stock is replenished and ordered as appropriate
· To provide general administrative support to a high and accurate standard
We are looking for someone who:
· enjoys working with children
· has experience of administrative work in a busy office environment
· has excellent written skills and ICT skills, with the ability to multi-task
· is able to work as part of a supportive team
· can communicate effectively with both children and colleagues
· can maintain a professional manner when dealing with parents
· can maintain a positive disposition and remain calm under pressure
· can ensure the safety and good conduct of pupils across the school site
· understands and complies with confidentiality requirements
· has the ability to follow safeguarding procedures and prioritise students' welfare
· has GCSE Maths and English (grade 4-9 or equivalent)
