Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Pay scale range: Level 7 point 24 to 27. Hourly rate range - £18.35 to £19.81. Salary range - £24,332 to £26,268 per annum gross (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Monday - Friday 30 hours spread between 8:30 and 15:15 (timings will differ depending on which year group the successful candidate is supporting each day).
Initially the contract for this position will be for a fixed term of one year.
We are looking to appoint experienced, reliable, flexible and hardworking Learning Support Assistants, Higher Level Teaching Assistants and Learning mentors to help support the teaching, learning and development of children across the whole school.
The successful applicant will:
· Have the highest expectations of achievement and behaviour for all children
· Teach a range of ages and abilities, covering classes in EYFS, KS1 AND KS2.
· Have a good knowledge and understanding of The National Curriculum/ EYFS, next steps and assessment for learning.
· Have experience of effectively managing and supporting whole classes, individuals and small groups of pupils.
· Have experience of working with pupils with a range of additional learning needs.
· Be well organised, with good time management.
· Be adaptable, proactive and a supportive team player.
The successful applicant will already have achieved the Higher Level Teaching Assistant Certificate.

The appointment will be subject to a successful enhanced DBS check, medical check, social media check, receipt of two references in addition to relevant background checks and certificated evidence of the required qualifications. You will be required to provide proof of ID for your DBS check, such as a valid driving license, valid passport and recent Council Tax letter. Other forms of ID may be accepted and a complete list can be provided by the school.
