FTE £25,989; Actual salary approximately £16,361.47 depending on experience
This position is for 27hrs 55mins per week. This is term time only (38 weeks). Fixed Term for 3 Years
Tendring Primary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive Inclusion Team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new and developing SEND provision within our school, supporting some of our highest needs pupils and helping to shape an enhanced provision that ensures the very best outcomes for children.
The Role
- Supporting children with Special Educational Needs across the school
- Working as part of our Inclusion Team within our enhanced provision
- Spending half of each day working in our Nest provision
- Spending the other half of each day supporting children within their mainstream classrooms
- Contributing to monitoring and sharing children's learning and progress
- Supporting pupils with their personal care needs, including intimate care, where required, in line with the school's policies and training
We are looking for someone who:
- Has sound knowledge and experience of supporting children with Special Educational Needs
- Is patient, nurturing and committed to inclusive practice
- Works effectively as part of a team
- Has high aspirations for all pupils and shares our passion for achieving the best possible outcomes
- Is flexible, proactive and solutions-focused
- Is comfortable supporting pupils with personal care needs, including intimate care, where required
- Has a basic level of Maths and English (GCSE grade C/4 or above, or equivalent), or is willing to work towards achieving this

Information about the School
Tendring Primary is small, popular school located close to the Suffolk/Essex Border, attracting children from a wide area across the Tendring Peninsular. We currently have 190 children on roll. The School is set in approximately a three acre site with original buildings dating back to 1896. The school has extended over the years to include new buildings and extensive outdoor learning facilities.
