Job Description

Holy Trinity Primary School is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team and support children in Upper Key Stage Two. Our students are enthusiastic learners with positive attitudes, and feedback from visitors consistently highlights what a pleasure they are to teach.

Main Duties:

• Provide support for individual children to access the curriculum effectively.
• Collaborate with class teachers to enhance the learning experience.
• Assist in lesson planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation alongside class teachers.
• Support learning and teaching in accordance with school policies and procedures.
• Adapt questioning and instructions to meet the diverse needs of individual children.
• Follow safeguarding protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
• Encourage all children to achieve their best and reach their full potential.

Candidates must demonstrate patience, flexibility, and a strong commitment to ensuring that children make the best possible progress. The ideal applicant will possess a minimum of GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade C (or current strong Grade 5) (or equivalent), along with experience working with children in Upper Key Stage Two, which is desirable.

This position is 22.5 hours and will be offered on a fixed-term basis for one year initially, with the possibility of extending the contract based on performance and school needs.
