We are looking for an enthusiastic and interactive Teacher for Year 6 Maths SATS Support to join our supportive and collaborative team. You will plan and deliver engaging learning to support the Year 6 Class with their Maths, developing exciting and innovative methods that stimulate interest and excitement in the classroom. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, dedicated and creative teacher who has a passion for teaching and learning, especially in the field of mathemetics.

Are you a creative thinker; resilient and want to make a difference every day to the children you work with?

It's not necessarily the length of your experience as a class teacher that we're most interested in, it's your passion and commitment to our mission, ensuring every child, whatever their background, receives a high quality education.

The ideal Teacher for Year 6 Maths SATS Support will be someone who is:

  • A great communicator who can translate mathematical concepts into "lightbulb moments" while maintaining a calm, positive atmosphere that lowers exam anxiety.
  • Understands the specific "stumbling blocks" in the KS2 curriculum (e.g., fractions, decimals, and percentages) and can identify exactly where a child's understanding is breaking down.
  • Able to scaffold learning for students with SEND or those working below age-related expectations, ensuring they feel empowered rather than overwhelmed by the SATs papers.
  • Confident in using a range of resources to make maths engaging.
  • Enthusiastic about working with the Year 6 lead teacher to analyse mock data and plan small-group interventions where they are needed most.
  • Committed to raise the achievement of all students of all abilities.

We know you're going to do great things as a Class Teacher, investing in our employees' wellbeing and career development is a priority for us. We can offer you:

  • Excellent ongoing CPD and training programs with a wealth of high quality development opportunities for all stages of career
  • Coaching and mentoring from the academy's experienced leadership team
  • A comprehensive induction programme
  • Friendly and supportive environment, where everyone is committed to a work life balance
  • The opportunity to be part of exciting development and innovative change
  • Access to trust resources and materials to help plan and deliver great lessons
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Free eye tests
  • Employee Assistance Programme - free & confidential advice on a variety of subjects ranging from physical and mental health to financial help
