About The Role

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic person to join our successful team, to work with pupils, parents, school staff and outside agencies to ensure the high attendance of pupils across the school.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Experience of supporting families in adverse circumstances and vulnerable children
- Experience of working with pupils
- GCSE A-C/equivalent in English and Maths
- Ability to communicate well orally and in writing with a range of pupil, parents, staff and external agencies
- A caring, patient nature
- Meticulous in record keeping, quick and accurate with the use of IT using a range of Microsoft programmes
- The ability to work well within a team and independently
Main duties:
- Monitor whole school attendance, persistent absence and punctuality
- Contact parents when children are absent from school
- Identify children and families who need support with attendance
- Maintain excellent records, tracing attendance
- Prepare reports as needed on different aspects of school attendance and punctuality
- Book and organise attendance‑related meetingswith staff, families, and external agencies.
- Liaise with LA Attendance/Welfare servicesto confirm and share attendance information.
- Use absence record related information for forms such as EHE, Penalty charge and CME associated documentation.

Hours
26 hours and 15 minutes per week - Monday to Friday 8:15 to 14:00 with a 30 minutes unpaid lunch break
Term time plus 5 INSET days - 39 weeks per year
