St John's Green Primary School is a large City Centre school, operating over two sites.

We are a good school and put the children at the heart of Teaching & Learning with a curriculum that seeks to inspire and support children to achieve.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistant with good numeracy and literacy skills to work at our school. The successful candidate will become an integral member of our staff team, supporting children with an EHCP one to one, or teaching/supporting groups of children both in and out of the classroom.

The vacancy is for a permanent contract starting ASAP for 5 hours per day (25 hours per week), Monday to Friday, term time plus all non-pupil days. The role is to support the children for the full school day which is currently Abbey Field site 8.30am - 3.05pm and Town site 8.40am to 3.15pm. As we are a two-site school, the role can be at either site and can move between sites depending on the needs of the children.

The successful applicant will be paid at the new April 2026 Scale 3 Points 6-7 which equates to £25,989 - £26,403 per annum (pro rata £15,054.43 - £15,294.25 per annum).
