KS1/KS2 SEN Learning Support Assistant (Part -Time: 30 hours)
Fixed term until 17th July 2026 with a view to extend

What skills and experience we are looking for
We're on the lookout for a warm-hearted, caring, and patient person to join us as a SEN Learning Support Assistant. If you're someone who loves getting stuck in and can build great relationships with children, parents, and your colleagues, we want to hear from you! Being a team player is key, along with the ability to adapt to whatever the day throws your way. Your support will make a real difference to our students with special educational needs.
About the role:
· Working 1:1 with children with additional needs across the school
· Supporting pupils to follow a personalised curriculum, under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
· Helping children to engage with learning, manage routines and develop independence
· Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff and parents
· Being flexible and responsive to the needs of the children and the day-to-day life of a busy primary school
We are looking for someone who:
· Is kind, calm, patient and nurturing
· Can quickly build positive relationships with children
· Is adaptable, quick-thinking and confident in responding to individual needs
· Shows initiative and can work proactively alongside the class teacher
· Is a strong team player with good communication skills
· Is confident following strategies and adapting support to suit each child
· Remains positive, resilient and solution-focused, even when faced with challenges
Experience of working with children with SEN is desirable, but the right attitude, willingness to learn and genuine care for children are just as important.

KS1/KS2 SEN LSA role:
NJC Scale 3, Point 5 - NJC Scale 3, Point 6 Dependent upon experience.
FTE is £26,312 - £26,718 including £729 fringe.
Pro rata Actual Annual Salary30 hours- £17,798.84 - £18,043.48
Days/Hours:
30 hours - Monday-Friday : 8.50am - 3.20pm (includes 30 minutes lunch break)

Harlow Inspirational Learning Trust
The Henry Moore Primary School opened in September 2001. The school became an Academy MAT in November 2015 and a Sponsor in March 2016. It is the founding member of Harlow Inspirational Learning Trust.
Henry Moore School has 570 children on role and 94 members of staff
The Henry Moore School has been well-maintained over the years and re-modelled many times. There are nineteen classes. As well as the classrooms there are six offices, a computer suite, library, food technology room and two halls, one of which accommodates a breakfast and after school club.
The field is astro turf and is used year round for playtimes and sport. There is high fencing around the school and the site and school are accessed via electronic doors and gates. The governing body has made a commitment to modify the school where and when necessary to meet the specific needs of pupils.
