At St Peter's, our vision and Christian values put children at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Deputy Headteacher with a proven track record of excellent classroom practice, who is child-centred and committed to supporting our school vision and values. The position includes class teaching responsibility, with weekly dedicated leadership time in addition to PPA.

Located in North West Essex, we have a friendly and inclusive atmosphere, with enthusiastic, happy children who are motivated and keen to learn. Our school benefits from friendly, professional staff, supportive parents, active governors and strong links with the church. As a team, we strive to ensure that our well-planned, bespoke curriculum enables every child to enjoy learning, feel proud of their achievements and be confident in acquiring new knowledge and skills.

The successful candidate will be an ambitious and dedicated professional with experience of leading and motivating teams, monitoring teaching and learning, and successfully leading improvement and raising standards. The position will involve taking a lead role in curriculum and assessment development throughout the school.

If you are a dynamic and inspirational teacher and leader, with the capacity to grow and develop in the role, who demonstrates initiative, enthusiasm and a thorough knowledge of all Key Stages, and who has the ambition to play a major role in the leadership and management of our school, then we would love to hear from you.

This position is not limited by experience or background. We encourage interest from any ambitious leader looking to advance their career who has the imagination and ideas to contribute to our existing successful senior leadership team.

Please explore do our school website. Visits to our school are welcomed and strongly encouraged. To arrange an appointment or to discuss the role further, please contact us by email or telephone.
