HUMAN RESOURCES SUPPORT MANAGER- Thriftwood College, Fox Crescent, CM1-2BN
LGPCD Pay Scale: 7, Point 19 (Range 19-24)
37 hours per week
Monday-Thursday 8:30am-16:30pm/ Friday 8:30am - 16:00pm
Term-Time plus 3 weeks, to be worked during school closure periods
Actual Salary: From £28,659.00 to £31,655.00 (These figures include the holiday pay entitlement for someone with less than five years' continous service, as specified by the Essex County Council Modification Order).

We are seeking a highly organised and meticulous individual to deliver exceptional HR and administrative support to our college community.Thriftwood is a well-respected, 'Outstanding' provision for pupils with moderate learning difficulties. Our students have a range of different needs, which may include difficulties with communication, social or physical skills and, because of this, they often need a little extra help to manage everyday activities.
Key Responsibilites:
- To maintain a strategic overview of all HR-related matters at a college-based level, such as recruitment, absence management and staff CPD, advising the Executive Headteacher/College Lead and SLT accordingly
- To be responsible for administering the pre-employment checks' prcoedure for staff, including the DBS process, the probationary and induction procedures, in close conjunction with the SEAX Trust Director of HR and Executive Headteacher/College Lead
- To maintain the Academy MIS database - Arbor, in respect of HR records inlcuding absence and training
- To manage the administrative process of pupil transition and admissions for the college site
- To function as Line Manager for the college Admin Team, as directed
