Working hours:

This is a 37‑hour per week role.
Suggested working pattern:

Monday - Thursday

7:00am - 10:30am
2:30pm - 6:30pm

Friday

7:00am - 10:00am
2:30pm - 6:30pm

Hours may be negotiable, as long as the pattern covers key‑holding responsibilities including site opening, closing, essential security duties, and cleaning duties.

We are pleased to provide subsidised housing located directly opposite the school, offering exceptional convenience and a close connection to our village school community (optional).

What Does the Role Involve?

As our Site Manager, you will oversee the management, maintenance and security of the school site and buildings. You will take the lead on Health & Safety, supervise the cleaning team, and ensure the school is consistently safe, clean and ready for learning.

Key Responsibilities (see job description)

  • Daily oversight of buildings and grounds.

  • Carry out routine maintenance, repairs and DIY tasks.
  • Manage security systems, alarms, heating and building access.
  • Prepare the site for school activities and community use.
  • Lead on premises‑related Health & Safety.
  • Conduct compliance checks and risk assessments.
  • Maintain safe systems of work and report issues promptly.
  • Line‑manage the cleaning team.
  • Organise routines, monitor standards and support with training.
  • Manage cleaning and maintenance stock and supplies.
  • Liaise with contractors and oversee on‑site works.
  • Act as a keyholder, including responding to emergencies when required.
