We are looking for a dedicated Staff Welfare Assistant to provide support within the school in relation to monitoring and managing staff attendance and welfare in line with Trust Policy.

  • The successful candidate will work 20 hours per week across 5 days (Monday to Friday) - the exact working pattern can be flexible.
  • This is a 38-week-per-year role (term time only).

A Day in the Life:

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining accurate attendance and leave of absence records
  • Coordinating and facilitating informal absence meetings in accordance with Trust Policy.
  • Signposting staff to counselling, EAPs and wellbeing initiatives
  • Assisting Senior Leaders with identifying where support is required (workload, stress, timetable pressures).
  • Proactively undertaking stress risk assessments and implement other dedicated support frameworks identified to enhance employee well-being

What We're Looking For:

  • You are the perfect fit for our team if you have:
  • A Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Certification or willingness to gain the qualification
  • A proven ability to handle sensitive individual cases with discretion and empathy.
  • Strong verbal and written skills for drafting correspondence and conducting one-to-one meetings.
  • A natural desire to help others and improve their daily working lives.
