Provision 360 is our alternative curriculum offer for Key Stage 4 students from St Helena School and Paxman Academy. Provision 360 is based on the St Helena School site in a new building that caters for 24 students' full time educational needs. The 24 students have been identified as those who will thrive with an alternative curriculum that has a vocational focus that responds to the individual needs and areas of interest.
We're looking for an exceptional individual to work with the Provision 360 team to establish an educational experience for our young people who have struggled within KS3 in their base schools.
- The successful candidate will work 37 hours per week (8:00am - 4:00pm 4 days per week and 8:00am - 3:30pm 1 day per week).
- This is a 40-week-per-year role, which includes term time, non-pupil days, and an additional week during the school closure period.
A Day in the Life:
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Support for Students
- Assess the needs of students and use detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support students' learning
- Establish productive working relationships with students, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
Support for Teaching Staff
- Organise and manage appropriate learning environment and resources
- Provide objective and accurate feedback and reports as required on student achievement, progress and other matters, ensuring the availability of appropriate evidence
- Record progress and achievement in lessons/activities systematically and providing evidence of range and level of progress and attainment
Support for the Centre
- Comply with and assist with the development of policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting concerns to an appropriate person
- Be aware of and support differences and ensure all students have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.

Information about the School
St Helena School, part of the Sigma Trust, is a highly-regarded 11-16 co-educational Academy, recognised as Good by Ofsted in 2014 and now on a journey to Outstanding. Located on 17 acres in historic Colchester, the school has a fine blend of traditional and modern facilities and opened a £2.5m new Science block in 2015, and a £2.5m all weather pitch facility in February 2016.
On 1 September 2016, the school joined The Sigma Trust, a partnership of schools with The Stanway School, The Thomas Lord Audley School, Clacton County High School, Monkwick Junior School and Monkwick Infants School and Nursery. Working in collaboration with all the schools within The Sigma Trust, St Helena has developed and enhanced its development of outstanding professional practice.
