HR/PAYROLL and DATA PROTECTION OFFICER

Pay range LGPS 28 to 32 pro-rated to Term Time plus one week

FTE £39,152 to £42,839 (Actual Salary £34,394 to £37633)

Required for 22nd February 2026

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR, Payroll and Data Protection Officer to be part of Legra Academy Trust - Belfairs Academy and Darlinghurst Academy.

In this role you will implement all aspects of the recruitment process and maintain all records in line with safeguarding and Ofsted requirements. Payroll administration through a third party provider and Data Protection.

HR

Manage day-to-day HR administration, including contracts, onboarding, and employee records

Advise managers and staff on HR policies, procedures, and employment matters

Support recruitment processes and staff lifecycle activities

Assist with absence management, performance management, and disciplinary processes

Payroll

Prepare and process payroll accurately and on time

Liaise with external payroll provider on iTrent System

Respond to payroll-related queries from employees

Data Protection

Act as the organisation's lead for data protection and GDPR compliance

Handle data subject access requests and data breaches

About You

Experience in a similar educational setting

Strong knowledge of Safer Recruitment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidentiality

Qualified to CIPD Level 3
