Catering Assistant - part time (10 hours per week)

Woodham Ley Primary School is looking to employ a Catering Assistant to work 10 hours a week (term time only).
Our school has a busy but friendly kitchen, and the post holder will be required to work as part of a committed team preparing fresh, home cooked food for our pupils and staff.
The successful candidate will:
• assist with the preparation and serving of school meals
• support Catering Manager and help deputise for any short-term absences
• undertake all aspects of cleaning equipment, floors, fixtures and fittings, cooking utensils, cutlery, glassware etc. as directed.
• maintain a high standard of personal and general cleanliness and hygiene to comply with statutory school regulations.
Previous experience of catering is desirable, although training would be available for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be required to take and pass a Hygiene and Food Handling course unless they already have a current up to date qualification.
