St Mary's School is a one-and-a-half form entry Primary School, rated 'Good' by OFSTED in January 2022. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Class Teacher to join our team for a fixed-term maternity cover beginning in the Summer Term. There is the possibility that the post may be extended into the 2026/27 academic year.

We are looking for a teacher who:

· is ambitious, enthusiastic, energetic and enjoys having fun

· is creative and inspiring in their teaching

· Is an excellent, experienced classroom practitioner with high expectations for all learners in relation to pupil achievement and behaviour

· Has a strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum, including preparation for and transition from SATs

· Can support pupils' wellbeing, confidence and readiness for secondary school

· is keen to work collaboratively in planning and delivering high-quality lessons

· has a strong understanding of good practice, assessment and personalised learning in Year 6
