Job Description

Monday - Friday 8:30am-3:20pm with a 30 minutes break for lunch. Term time only.

Initially this job is being offered on a fixed term basis until the end of the summer term 2026.

We are inviting applications for the post of Learning Support Assistant, to commence as soon as possible to help our friendly teaching staff in this happy, well-resourced school, rated 'Good' in all areas.

This post is to provide support for a KS2 class during the morning and to provide support, in the afternoon, for a child who has an Education and Health Care plan (EHCP) in place.

We are looking for a someone who:

Has experience working with children in order to support them to reach their full potential.
Is confident to deal with social, emotional and behaviour issues, underpinning approaches on positive relationships and mutual respect.
Provides good evidence that their knowledge and abilities are closely matched to the person specification.
Is positive, flexible and warm and friendly with children, parents and colleagues.
Has excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
Enjoys taking an active role in the work and development of the school.
Is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of our children.
