St Michael's is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team in one of our KS1 Classes.

St Michael's is a single form entry school with a Nursery and an ARP (Additional Resourced Provision) for 15 children with SLD (Severe Learning difficulty).

Whilst this role is not predominantly based in the Nursery or ARP rooms, you may be required to support the children within these settings at various points throughout the academic year.

St Michael's have an expectation that all learning support staff will work with all children as directed, and this may include children who has special educational needs.

This role also includes lunchtime cover.

We require a committed, passionate teaching assistant who:

· has experience of working with SEND pupils in a school setting;

· is patient and resilient with a positive nature;

· is self-motivated and can use his/her own initiative;

· has high expectations of self and others;

· has proven behaviour management skills;

Working hours:

Hours of work - TBC (Our school day is 8.40 - 3.20pm and you will be required for Non-Pupil days)
