Required from March 2026, we are looking for an enthusiastic and well qualified teacher of English to provide part time 0.8 maternity leave cover (days required - Monday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday). The successful candidate will be able to teach English across all key stages and an ability to teach Literature or Language and Literature in the Sixth Form is desirable.
To be successful, you will need to be an excellent classroom practitioner with a commitment to delivering high quality teaching and learning. We are looking for teachers who actively remove barriers to learning, communicate a passion for their subject and inspire, motivate and enthuse students in their studies of language and literature.
In 2025 students gained GCSE English Language 84% 9-4, English Literature 85% 9-4, English Language & Literature A-Level 72% A*-B, English Literature A level 87.5%A*-B, English IBH 66% 7-5, andEnglish IBS 78% 7-5.
