We are looking for a committed and caring Student Services Support Officer to join our team at Lift Maltings. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will play a vital part in student welfare and wellbeing. As the schools lead first aider, you will provide day to day medical support for students, oversee vaccinations and NHS immunisation visits, and manage health related processes across the school.

Alongside medical support, you will act as a welcoming presence for students, parents, and visitors to Student Services, ensuring they receive a high standard of care and customer service. This role also involves maintaining accurate student records, supporting with free school meal applications, and assisting with a wide range of welfare and administrative tasks.

If you are :

  • Qualified (or willing to train) as a First Aider, with experience supporting young people's welfare needs
  • Calm under pressure, with strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Confident communicating with students, families, and external agencies
  • Able to manage medication safely and accurately
  • Committed to safeguarding, equality, and providing the best support for young people

The hours for this role are Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 4.00pm, Friday 8.15am to 3.45pm

Lift Maltings is an 11-16 secondary school based in Witham, Essex. Situated between the cities of Chelmsford and Colchester, the school has 900 students on roll and benefits from a modern, purpose-built site opened in 2011.
