HLTA

5 days per week, 39 weeks per year ( term time with INSET days); permanent contract

Essex Pay Scale 6 (Points 13-17 dependent on experience) This pay is on a higher scale than the usual HLTA pay to attract the very best candidates

Full time equivalent salary £29,064 - £31,022 (pro-rata- £21,044 to £22,462)

Due to our recent amalgamation of Montgomery Infant and Junior Schools, we are a looking for an enthusiastic and caring HLTA to join our established team of support staff to provide classroom support with some PPA cover for teachers on certain afternoons of the week. You will be required to work from 8:30am to 3:30pm daily with 30 minutes for lunch ( some time for marking is included).

Candidates should have experience of working in a primary school. Experience working as a HTLA is preferred. However, as part of our commitment to staff development, training will be provided as required. The post holder can expect to work as part of a motivated and friendly school team.

The school was inspected in March 2025 and was judged to have improved significantly since its last 'Good' judgement in November 2019. The most recent Ofsted report (Nov 2019) commented on " the welcoming and supportive ethos of the school." and also the fact that "Pupils work hard in lessons to achieve their best."
