SEND Teacher
Teachers Main Pay Scale
£34,397 - £46,838 per annum
FTE: 100%
Start Date: To be negotiated
Are you passionate about supporting children with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) to achieve their full potential? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teacher to join our team. You will work closely with other educational professionals, helping to create a structured, positive learning environment for pupils.
Key responsibilities:
· Plan and Deliver Tailored Lessons: Design and implement differentiated learning plans that meet the individual needs of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
· Monitor and Assess Progress: Track pupil progress regularly, adjusting teaching strategies and interventions accordingly to promote academic and personal development.
· Liaise with Stakeholders: Work closely with parents, carers, support staff, and external agencies to create a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
· Create an Inclusive Environment: Ensure that the classroom is welcoming, accessible, and conducive to learning for all pupils, with appropriate accommodations and resources.
· Support Emotional and Social Development: Help students build confidence, self-esteem, and independence, and provide behaviour management support when needed.
· Share best practice with others and train staff in the strategies to support Autism
The candidates will have:
· Empathy and Patience: A deep understanding of the challenges faced by SEND students and a calm, supportive approach to help them succeed.
· Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate with pupils, families, and professionals, both orally and in writing.
· Flexibility and Adaptability: Willingness to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet a wide range of needs and situations.
· A Collaborative Approach: Works well within a multidisciplinary team and contributes positively to school-wide SEND strategies.
· Organisational Skills: Capable of planning, tracking, and managing multiple individual learning plans and related documentation.
· Commitment to Inclusion: A strong belief in inclusive education and dedication to ensuring all pupils reach their full potential.
