Join our friendly and nurturing early years team at Lift Hamford.
We are looking for a passionate and committed Nursery Nurse to support the launch of our brand-new nursery class for two, three and four year olds, opening in January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting new provision and help shape the very beginning of a child's educational journey.
Lift Hamford is a vibrant school within the Lift Schools network that achieved a Good rating in November 2022 and serves our coastal community. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high quality early years education and care. You will build strong relationships with children and families, support learning through play, and ensure a safe, engaging environment where all children can thrive.
You will:
- Plan, deliver and evaluate engaging learning activities tailored to the needs of young children
- Build warm, trusting relationships with a key group of children and their parents/carers
- Observe and assess children's development, contributing to EYFS profiles and learning records
- Support children with SEN and ensure inclusive practice across the nursery
- Promote language development, independence, confidence and personal care skills
- Help maintain a safe, stimulating and welcoming nursery setting, both indoors and outdoors
- Work closely with colleagues and external professionals to support each child's progress
You'll need to bring:
- A Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare (or equivalent)
- Experience of working with children aged 2-5 in a school or daycare setting
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, observation and assessment
- A caring, professional and proactive approach to supporting young learners
- Confidence working as part of a team and liaising with families and professionals
- A genuine passion for early years education and a belief in every child's potential
