The D&T department is looking to appoint an organised, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join this friendly and successful team. Previous experience of working in a D&T department or a relatable industry environment would be beneficial. A good knowledge and understanding of the materials used across D&T is essential. Our department covers food, textiles, woodwork, metalwork, electronics, engineering and construction. The successful candidate will have line managerial responsibilities for our food and textiles technician. The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, knowledge of CAD/CAM, as well as using a laser cutter and 3D printer would be beneficial, training would be provided for the right applicant. Experience of working with children aged 11-18 is desirable. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with students and staff is essential.
