Harlow College is seeking to appoint the following staff:

Teacher Health Science - Dental Nursing Teacher

Whether you're working in a dental practice supporting apprentices or in an apprenticeship role in a college or independent provider, we'd love the hear from you.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented person who will be able to play a key role in preparing, planning, delivering and assessing learning on our Oral Health Practitioner apprenticeship programme. This is a new programme for October 2025 delivery and you will play a crucial part in shaping the next generation of dental nurses.

As a flexible, creative and pro-active professional you'll be expected to use a range of effective and appropriate teaching and learning initiatives that engage, motivate and enable all learners to develop and succeed, as well as maximising student potential. You will also be working to address individual learning needs, overcome barriers to learning and encourage autonomous learning.

Qualifications/Experience Required

Registered Dental Nurse, Level 3 or above
Recent teaching and or training experience within the Dental Nursing sector
Ideally teacher trained otherwise demonstrate a commitment to achieve a Level 4 or above teaching qualification within the first year of joining the College
TAQA/CAVA (A1 or V1 or equivalent)
GCSE English & Maths at Grade C or 4 and above or equivalent
Creative problem-solving skills
