Learning Support Assistant - Required from September 2025
Part time permanent contract
Scale 5 Point 9 - £26,409 (pro rata) (actual salary - £17,592.38)
28.75 hours per week, 39 weeks a year (term time plus inset days)
Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3:15pm (with an hour for lunch unpaid)

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and capable Learning Support Assistant to join our Early Years/KeyStage 1 team. The role will involve:-
· Leading a play-based curriculum
· Supporting teaching of phonics/early reading
· Delivering small group intervention activities to support those needing extra support
· Lunchtime cover and supporting children in outdoor activities
· Supporting children's intimate care needs e.g. dressing, changing, supporting toileting
· Class cover in the absence of a teacher
This post is for 5 days a week from 8.30am until 3:15pm (28.75 hours per week) term time only - plus staff training days.
Applicants should have:
· A high standard of written and spoken English
· Excellent numeracy skills
· Computing/computer skills
· A strong work ethic with flexibility to respond positively to challenges of day-to-day school life
· A calm and motivated attitude with a clear understanding of the needs of all children - including children with additional needs
· A good sense of humour
· Excellent communication skills
· Previous experience of working within a LSA role or similar role is preferable but not essential
· A willingness to undertake training in order to develop professional skills and knowledge
