Design, Food & Textiles Technician
Scale 5 Points 9-12 £26,409 - £27,711 Actual Salary £22,640.63 - £23,756.84 (37 hours per week 39 working weeks (term time plus INSET days)

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Design, Food & Textiles Technician to join our small team. The successful candidate will have experience of working within a classroom. The post involves supporting the Design Technology department in the delivery of teaching, by helping prepare, clean and clear away lesson materials and more. The successful applicant will be:
A team player, organised with good time management skills.
Be responsible for the care and maintenance of tools and machinery.
Sharpening and maintaining (as appropriate) and on a regular basis all mechanical equipment so that such equipment may be used safely.
Cutting and providing materials as requested by teaching staff and advising staff on stock levels.
Ensuring that the Food Technology room is to a high standard and that cleaning after lessons is thorough. including preparation of equipment and support with laundry.
Assisting Art Staff in the preparation of materials for lessons.
