1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant
Salary:Scale 4 (Point 7 to 8) FTE £25,584 - £25,992
Pension scheme: Excellent LA contributory pension scheme.
Actual:£18,524.78 to £19,072.83 pa (includes 5.7 to 6.3 weeks paid holiday, dependant on service)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours:8:45am to3:30pm - 6.25hrs a day - 31.25 hours a week. (Including 30-minute lunch break)
39 Working Weeks:38 term time weeks plus 5 INSET days.

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic and adaptable in your practice, do you have a calm and caring nature? If so we would love you to join our dedicated and hardworking teaching team here at Lexden to help support pupils with complex needs.
The successful applicant will be working with a child withphysical needs who will need support with adaptation to both the environment and curriculam.
Suitable applicants will need to be able to work as part of a team following a structured programme of learning. Applicants should be organised and show initiative and flexibility, be patient and understand the confidential nature of this role.

Our school is well maintained and boasts extensive grounds providing a large playing field, a Forest School area and two playgrounds. The outdoor pavilion provides shelter and is used as an outdoor classroom. We have seven main classrooms, a Nursery and a enhanced provision for the teaching of Hearing Impaired Children. The Nursery has places for 26 part-time pupils and they are involved in the social life of the school, helping them experience a very successful transition to our reception class in the mainstream school.The enhanced provision has 18 places and caters for pupils who are severe/profoundly deaf from across the whole of North East Essex.
