Play Leader Vacancy
Required from September 2025
We are looking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic Play Leader to join our fantastic team.
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 11:20 a.m. - 1:50 p.m. (Term Time Only)
This role supports our staggered lunchtime arrangements.
About the Role:
As a Play Leader, you will supervise and support children during lunchtime, ensuring they enjoy a safe, happy, and engaging play experience. You will organise games and activities that keep pupils active and involved, both outdoors and indoors (during poor weather). You'll work closely with other team members, demonstrating flexibility, teamwork, and a positive approach.
What We're Looking For:
This is a key role in school life, so we're looking for someone who is:
Nurturing, cheerful, and full of energy
Reliable and conscientious
Committed to promoting positive behaviour and social skills
Able to work well as part of a team
Recent experience of working with children is desirable, and while a valid First Aid Certificate is preferred, training can be provided for the right candidate.
Salary:
Thurrock Grade A (Points 1 to 6), depending on qualifications and experience.
