SEND Learning Support Assistant FIXED TERM Scale 3 Points 5-6
We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to support some of our children with additional needs (primarily in EYFS and KS1), helping them to make progress, develop confidence and enjoy their learning experience.
This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to play a key role in delivering learning support within our area specifically designed to cater for individual programmes and to support children's academic, social and emotional development. The provision will be resourced with specialist materials, ensuring tailored support for each child's needs. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working under the direction of a class teacher and the SENDCo providing both 1:1 and group intervention support. Your role will involve working alongside our wider teaching team to create a nurturing and structured environment for our pupils.
We are seeking an individual who is enthusiastic about learning, committed to implementing innovative approaches, and able to demonstrate both patience and empathy in their practice. Experience in working with vulnerable pupils and a proven ability to implement emotional regulation strategies will be highly regarded.

The successful applicant will:
- Have at least one years experience of working with SEND children, within the primary age range.
- Have experience of supporting non verbal pupils and those with autism
- Be calm, adaptable and a good team member
- Be able to work using initiative and flexibility, dependent on pupil needs
- Have confidence with in the moment planning and working within an enabling environment, in order to promote child led learning
- Have a good understanding of the following assessment tools eg Development Matters and Early Learning Goals and be able to contribute towards planning, monitoring and evaluation
- Be able to assist with the implementation, development and evaluation of One Plans/EHCPs
