IMMEDIATE START - Grays Convent High School are looking to recruit an organised and motivated
EXAMINATIONS OFFICER This is a key role within the school and the post holder will be responsible for managing and overseeing the efficient running of all our internal and external examinations. A calm person under pressure and able to respond to pupils' needs at stressful periods is essential.
The ideal candidate will possess a sound understanding of regulations for conducting examinations, access arrangements and reasonable adjustments. However, proven organisational and administrative skills are fundamental for this role. The successful candidate will have excellent communications skills with a high level of ICT competence, be able to analyse data and manage their time effectively and efficiently.
The post is contracted for 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year, inclusive of one week during August to complete the summer series exam results process. This is a Band 5 position on the Thurrock Council salary scale and will range between £26,682 - £29448, dependent on experience.

Grays Convent High School is a successful all girls' 11-16 Catholic Secondary School, a dynamic institution committed to academic excellence. With a diverse student body and equally diverse and dedicated staff, we foster an environment where every girl's talent is nurtured.
We are based in Thurrock, Essex and we have a Pupil Admission Number (PAN) of 620 usually. We have one year group with 150 pupils and a temporary admission number of 655 having taken ' bulge' classes due to local growth. We are a high-performing school that has risen to become one of the top performing schools in Thurrock.

With a focus on the EBacc and excellent Attainment 8 scores, we pride ourselves on providing a robust foundation for future success. 90% of our pupils will take the EBacc.
With a successful OFSTED 'Good' judgment comfortably secured in June 2023, we are now pushing towards 'outstanding' status, with all of the excitement of setting and achieving the highest standards on a daily basis. Our Section 48 Inspection described us as an "Outstanding Catholic School".
