This role will focus on supporting as a class LSA in English lessons in KS1, LKS2 and UKS2 each morning. This will include live marking, giving verbal feedback to move children's learning forward and supporting the class teacher during the lesson input.
The afternoon will include delivering reading support to individual or small groups of children, as well as leading a Read, Write, Inc phonics group on a daily basis. Training will be provided for Read, Write, Inc and there will be weekly coaching sessions. Candidates need English GCSE at a grade C/grade 4 or above to ensure a secure subject knowledge.

St Luke's Church Primary School was founded in 1863 to provide education according to the principles and practices of the Church of England.
Following the reorganisation of many Church of England schools in the 1950's, St Luke's became a controlled school. This means that some of the governing body is drawn from the foundation, representing the Church of England, and the rest is made up of County nominated and other lay people.
The school occupies the site immediately adjacent to St Luke's Church, and this reinforces the feeling of community that we share.
