The Epsilon Star Multi Academy Trust have an exciting opportunity for Trustees with an enthusiasm for education to join our board. This is a voluntary position, which is both rewarding and fulfilling.

This is an opportunity to use your skills and experience to contribute to the governance and success of a dynamic educational trust.

We welcome individuals with expertise in one or more of these areas:

- Finance

- Risk Management and audit

- Health and safety

- Child Protection

- Education

- Mental Health and Wellbeing

Should your experience not be listed in the areas specified, but you feel you have relevant experience and the desire to participate in the running of the Trust, then your application would be welcomed as full training and induction will be provided.

The ideal person will have a strategic and analytical mind and importantly, an empathy for all children and their learning. Trustees act at all times for the benefit of all pupils within the trust.

As a Trustee, you will play a vital role in shaping strategic direction, ensuring financial sustainability, and driving positive outcomes for pupils and staff. You will work closely with the senior executive leaders, to make a positive and meaningful contribution to the board by:

- Attending board meetings at our Kents Hill site.

- Getting to know the schools within the trust by undertaking termly daytime monitoring visits.

- Establishing and maintaining relationships with senior executive leaders and colleagues on the board of trustees.

- Determining the mission, values and long-term vision for the trust.

- Ensuring that all schools within the trust deliver a broad and balanced curriculum.

- Taking ownership of the trust's financial sustainability and ensuring effective resource management across the trust.

- Ensuring robust risk management policy and procedures are in place and that risk control measures areappropriate and effective.

The Epsilon Star Trust is a multi-academy trust based in Benfleet, Essex. Established in September 2016, its core mission is to support schools and academies in achieving the best possible outcomes for their pupils. It oversees Kents Hill Junior School and Lubbins Park Primary Academy and Nursery, both of which focus on providing high-quality education and fostering positive learning environments.
