Trust Recruitment and HR Officer
Salary: Thurrock Band C Point 13 - 19
(£26,528.45 - £30,408.88 actual salary per annum)
37 hours per week - Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:00pm, Friday 8:00am - 3:30pm (30-minute unpaid break)
42 weeks of the year - term time, inset days, plus 15 additional days to be worked during the school closure periods
Start Date: June 2025
Are you highly organised, process-driven, and ready to make a difference in a fast-moving environment? We're looking for a proactive and efficient Trust Recruitment and HR Officer to join our central HR team at Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust.
About the Role:
In this varied and rewarding role, you'll be the driving force behind our recruitment processes - from placing job adverts to onboarding new employees. You'll also support essential HR functions like contract amendments; staff record maintenance and providing a seamless experience to internal and external stakeholders. Your day could include anything from prepping interview packs to helping manage safer recruitment and pre-employment checks - all while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and confidentiality. You will have support from a highly experienced team, with access to strong established processes, and continuous professional guidance.

- Exceptional organisation skills - you'll be juggling multiple priorities with ease.
- A calm, professional manner and strong communication skills.
- A solid grasp of HR admin and recruitment procedures (school or public sector experience is a bonus).
- Confidence in working independently and collaboratively across our Trust sites.
- A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and high standards in education.

We are seeking to appoint a Recruitment and HR Officer with excellent interpersonal skills who has a wealth of administration experience that supports the resourcing of talent. You will work within the Trust Central Human Resources (HR) Team where there will be an element of working from home (2-days per week).
The Trust's Recruitment and HR Officer will be responsible for the end-to-end process of attracting, recruiting, and completing the pre-employment checks for all internal and external candidates in line with safer recruitment guidance. They will be responsible for all administrative procedures required in connection with advertisements, new starters, and leavers.
