At Castledon School, we believe in the power of relationships to inspire learning. Our pupils, aged 5-19, have moderate and complex learning needs, including autism and a range of communication and learning differences. Every member of staff plays a vital role in helping each learner grow - academically, socially and emotionally.

We are now seeking a committed Science Teacher to join our team and support students working from Entry Level 1 to GCSE. The ability to offer a second subject (e.g. Maths, PSHE, or Computing)is likely to be needed.

As we grow to 250 learners from September 2025, we're expanding our team, reducing class sizes even further, and opening a brand-new specialist teaching block - making this an exciting time to join us.

The Role:

As our new Science Teacher, you'll plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons that build curiosity and understanding. You'll adapt your teaching to meet the diverse needs of our learners - and you'll be part of a school that valuesprogress over pressureandrelationships over routine.


The Ideal Candidate Will:

· Hold QTS (or equivalent)

· Be confident in teaching Scienceto learners with SEND, across Key Stages 3-4

· Be able to teach asecond subject, such as Maths, PSHE or Computing (desirable but not essential)

· Use a therapeutic and flexible approach, grounded in respect, patience and high expectations

· Be committed to developing their SEND pedagogyand contributing to a reflective, caring staff team

Castledon School is a Special School for pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties and additional complex needs from Year 1 - Year 14.
