St Joseph the Worker Primary School, In Hutton, is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Office Administrator from 1st September 2025. The post will be for 21 hours a week over 5 days
Monday - Thursday, 8.30 - 12pm
Friday, 8.30 - 4pm with 30-minute unpaid break on Fridays.
term time only.
Salary to be paid on Scale 4 Point 7 £25,584 per annum, plus fringe, pro rata (£13.63 per hour actual salary).
Salaries are reviewed by national negotiation with effect from 1st April each year. Progression through the pay scale is subject to an acceptable annual performance development review process.
We are seeking to appoint an organised, friendly and proactive Administrator/Receptionist on a permanent term-time only basis with effect from September 2025. The post offers an excellent opportunity to work in our friendly and highly successful school.
The ideal candidate will:
· be efficient, flexible and highly organised with a strong work ethic
· Be friendly and calm with a good sense of humour
· Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Be confident using IT systems including Microsoft Office and school MIS systems (training can be provided)
· Be able to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks in a busy environment
· Show discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
· Be a team player with a positive and flexible attitude
· Be able to show initiative and work independently

Main Duties:
· Provide a warm and professional front-of-house service to students, parents, and visitors
· Support day-to-day administrative operations, including handling emails, phone calls, and correspondence
· Maintain accurate pupil records and managing attendance systems
· Assist with school communications, newsletters, and event planning
· Support staff with photocopying, filing, and other administrative tasks
· Upkeep management Information records for the pupils
· Order and maintain the stock for the school
We would also consider developing this role to include a Play Co-ordinator role from 12pm until 1.15pm every day.
